Hello, welcome to our community! You need to give us much more information before we can make suggestions. What kind of diabetes do you have? What kind of diabetes medicines or insulins do you use? What kind of numbers are you seeing after your meals? How long after your meals do you test? This information should help us to understand your situation.

Thanks for concerns

Hi,

Thanks for your concerns.I am type 2 diabetes & on Metformin.I take it twice a day ,ome in the morning before breakfast & one before dinner. I usually test it within 1-2 hours .I gor laid off recently & have been at home for a while . I believe its beacause of not adequate exercise as I burnt calories while I was working.I see for ex between 10-12 from past few days . Earlier it came to be between 6-8 which is normal.

You should always wait for two full hours after a meal before testing your blood sugar. Even a nondiabetic will show higher blood sugar one hour after eating. Your 10-12 numbers are very high. Are you seeing a doctor? You did not say anything about a doctor in your messages today. I think you should see your doctor and get some blood testing done. Good luck to you!

I am glad you do yoga. It is a goodfor you. Do you eat low catbohydrate food? I limit myself to 130g of carbs per day and I walk 3 miles per day. I am 69 years old now and that is enough exercise for me.

Yes I have heard of that but I don't know anyone who hs used it. Have you? If so, has it helped you? I eat lots of raw vegetables and fruit. I rarely eat bread. If I do eat bread it is a low carb multigrain bread. I rarely eat pasta. Both bread and pasta are very high in carbs. I eat small portions when I eat high carb food.
