I hereby take back my homicidal thoughts and boycotting rant about Bob Evans sausage links after thinking they had ignored my emails about said links going bad three weeks before the expiration date.

Turns out they were nice enough to send me coupons to replace the 2 packs that went bad and I spoke with them on the phone today about the links going bad and they assured me that the problem lies with the grocery store I buy from, a Pathmark which has a bad reputation for things going bad immediately. The fact that they weren't cooking properly means the store refrigerated them at an unsafe temperature. Definitely time to go to a new store!

The woman I spoke to named Lee Ann had to be the sweetest customer service rep ever and she said for bringing this to their attention, she is going to have their computer system send me coupons every single month for free links.

Cool, huh? :D:D:D

So just don't use your coupons at that Pathmark store, eh?! :D

I've wondered about your problem with things going bad so soon & knew it had to be a refrigeration problem, but hated to suggest that your own fridge might not be cold enough (you have enough trouble right now!). Good to learn that it's THEIR coolers are the problem!

I've already got a new store to go to and a friend who can pick me up there, so I'm good to go! And I've written to the store manager about things going bad a number of times and it's always ignored. Bob Evans told me that every single day they submit a report of complaints to their quality control dept. so they're going to take care of that store.

One thing I really really miss about moving from Portland to Philadelphia is the fresh food out there and the care the stores put into maintaining it. Out here on the East Coast, it's like, 'eh, who cares'. The store employees just want their paycheck. Can't wait to move back home ASAP :D
