@mbuster! Come on, dish up your day's braggin' rights.

I have nothing to brag about today, but want to brag on someone none of you know and I didn't either until this morning.

Lost my Dexcom receiver yesterday, a loss I could ill afford. Had to order a replacement, at a discount for =only= $259 shipped. Vented 'mongst some other Dexcom users and a guy said he had one in a drawer and would send it to me. (Most people use their smart phones; I don't have one.) Was able to cancel the order.

Anyway, he not only offered, but mailed it 3 hours later with tracking information! I might even have it Saturday, Monday latest.

So ... bragging on him for his generosity, of spirit and otherwise.

I was actually sitting here thinking about temptations we would be faced with over this holiday weekend. Wanted to ask to post those temptations we caved in to and was it worth it, something about lessons learned. Thought that would be asking for something negative and who is likely going to post something like that about themselves. Then I was thinking maybe it would be better for the thread to be about something more positive, a success, like maybe what temptations did we resist. Still not satisfied with that I thought why not post something we did that we deserve a pat on the back for. It can be about anything.

I honestly don't think I did anything today worthy of bragging about, but hey, if this inspires others to post something that they did, I'll take that as something to brag about.

I just developed a data driven mobile Billing Usage system for my employer. It takes a data dump from Bell, imports it to a database we built and then generates a cost breakdown of anyone one who exceeds allowable usage. It identifies what part of the country they work and who their manager is. Have made very quick progress on it so far - As I'm a tech geek - that's my bragging point for the day :)

BH and I spent the afternoon doing some Christmas shopping and then went to eat at Texas RoadHouse for our anniversary dinner. Rib-eye steak, green beans, caesar salad. She's put up with me for 43 years, worth bragging about.

I discovered that I'm out of shape - yesterday - we had a couple of feet of snow in the driveway and my driveway is about 25 yards long. It took a while but let me tell you - I was tired. Now that I'm 58 maybe it's time to get a snow blower. Whenever I shovel out the driveway I keep thinking of all those people who have experienced heart attacks doing the same thing. So the fact that I survived shoveling out the driveway yesterday and survived - that's worth bragging about LOL

Our driveway is 70' long and two cars wide at the garage door. My standing rule is that, if I can drive over it, I don't clear the driveway (I do clear the sidewalk). But I have a snowblower and I'm not afraid to use it. :smile2: Around here they're almost standard issue with a house.

Went out on a marsh walk yesterday - enough snow has melted away that it's no longer a factor, the tide was going out and it's too early for bugs. So off we went - we both got wet from the knees down having fallen in some unexpected holes but overall a great afternoon. Saw some geese, ducks and eagles. Excellent exercise too!

I got more than 8 hours of sleep for the first time probably this year. I think my average from Feb 15th to yesterday might have been 4-5 hours/night.
