Ive read all of their labels, and cannot for the life of me figure out how they cliam to have "3g net carbs" etc.

unless im doing something wrong, net carbs are calculated by taking the carb total and subtracting the fiber.

that being said, it reads that the typical Atkins bar has 20 carbs and 3 or 4 fibers. to me, that means 16 or 17 net grams of carbs, NOT "3"

if someone could clear this up, id greatly appreciate it

I tried to do some research on this and you are not the only one who is confused about this product. I had the same question about Extend Bars. I finally just deducted the fiber from the total carbs.

I was about to make a similar post about some ice cream that advertised as having only '4 net carbs'. I've seen similar things and they always have the sugar alcohols. When I looked it up, Wikipedia said "Sugar alcohols are usually incompletely absorbed into the blood stream from the small intestines which generally results in a smaller change in blood glucose than "regular" sugar (sucrose)." So I guess they're subtracting those as well. I have no idea how to count them lol

some sugar alcohols spike me . . . some do because they're bulked up with maltodextrin - another sugar. I do well with erythritol, but it's a little pricey. It all comes back to the old "test, test, test" so you can find out which ones affect you individually.

I read something about counting half sugar alcohol and it seemed to work out.
