Can Type 2 diabetes patient consume goatmilk?

Hi,

My father is Type 2 diabetes patient, I hear there's a lot benefit of consuming goatmilk instead of cowmilk, I want to buy goatmilk for my father to consume.
But, I'm not sure whether is it suitable for my father to consume?

Can anyone give me advice?? Thank You!:)

Hello:

As far as his being a Type 2, that shouldn't affect it. If he has milk allergies then perhaps not. It would be better for him as far as not having the extra hormones, etc. His Dietician would know best what he can tolerate.

I am a type 2 diabetic and I drink goat milk on occasion. I think it is easier to digest. I also enjoy soy milk. I think drinking goat milk would be fine. But as with anything, be careful of portion size.
