Hello all,
Although I'm not a diabetic, I am pretty interested in the ingredients used in carb blockers to offset the effect of higher glycemic carbs on blood sugar. Does anybody take these supplements or do you know if there is any merit to them? It seems like there's a lot of medical research out there in favor of these supplements but actually seeing a benefit in real life might be a different story.

I figured I would ask here because it seems the average person has no concept of the effect of foods on blood sugar/insulin levels lol

I just avoid foods that are higher in carbs, thus having no need for carb blockers. Eating high fiber foods at the same time as carbs will help them digest more slowly, ie a baked potato with broccoli and cheese sauce would cause less BS rise than a plain baked potato.

I'd prefer any type of natural control as long as possible before opting for something like a carb blocker.
