The best known cause of this condition of course is Chronic Alcoholism. Some of the other conditions/diseases that may cause Cirrhosis are Chronic Hepatitis B, C and D, Autoimmune Hepatitis, Wilson's Disease, (hereditary) Hemochromatosis, Cystic Fibrosis, Alpha1-antitrypsin deficiency, blocked or
inflammed bile ducts, coronary artery disease, protein malnutrition, prolonged exposure to toxic materials such as arsenic, drugs, obesity, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease which seems to be associated with Diabetes. There are other causes some known and unknown.

I know someone who has Cirrhosis. I know for a fact that she does not drink alcohol. I was looking up information for her and I surely didn't realize how many things can cause Cirrhosis. I knew of 2.
