Good Morning:
No sorry, I haven't tried that recipe book. I used to get a Friend with Diabetes to read me the recipes that I liked the sound of, out of her books and then try them. As you know with most recipe books, you usually only like about 25% of the recipes. I haven't used a slow cooker in years since the temperature gauge went kaput.
Here are 4 other slow cooker recipes for Diabetics:

You didn't say which type of Diabetes you were dxd. with but be sure for the first while anyways to consume the foods and about the correct amounts of grams of carbs per meal that your Dietician suggested. Also(I know you know but...)test before you start eating and about 2 hours after you have finished. The times don't have to be exact but in the general range. Write everything down that you have consumed and your test numbers so you can discuss the test results with your Dietician.
Don't fret if you don't get everything perfect either. You may be one of the majority whose sugar rises when they stresss out. I'm in the minority where my sugars drop like a rock. Neither of these results are welcome but happen anyway. So don't sweat the small stuff. Oh, - YW!- means Your Welcome! YW!

Happy cooking.
