Shh; let's never tell the lancet people that I usually use mine several times before I toss it in the sharps bin....

You must like pain. They rust and are no longer sharp. Syringe needles on the other hand, stay sharp. Just need to be kept antiseptic.

Most of the time there is little to no feeling the stick, every now and then I feel a tingle. The most painful stick I can remember was with a brand new lancet.

Not really sure what my lancets are made of, I assume stainless steel.

Dr. Google says they are surgical grade stainless steel encased in plastic.

Good information to have, thanks. Looks like I’ll be going back to using them as I changed jobs and the cost of Freestyle Libre doubled with my new insurance.

I never knew that. I use mine until I go 'ouch' and then get new one.
