Yeah that was an interesting finding, definitely makes me think that type 2 diabetes is more of the body's defense mechanism to poor environment. For those who didn't read the finding, they found that dolphins are capable of having type 2 diabetes but they can turn it off and on at will. So it's thought that they do so because some of the ocean conditions are poor.
