I've just read about Dr. Faustman research about finding cure for T1D, can anyone in this forum describe about the last progress of her research? It seems her research is the most promising one to cure T1D.

I'm wondering how long it will take to cure T1D if her research succeed?

The last that I heard was that the stage 2 Clinical trials were waiting for funding. needs like 20 million for a 2 year study.

yes I know that, but, I would like to know if there's someone in this forum got directly involved in her research. I really want to know, how long this research to be a real "cure" for T1D ?

I'm curious, how many stages there that we have to wait until the cure comes?

I don't think this is anything we can know, Paul . . . and I know you need to know quickly and I know why you need to know quickly. But the fact is, there is no cure at this time, and the studies/trials/research will continue until something is found. But we won't BE there until we GET there!

Yes Shanny, I know that for now we can just pray that the cure will be available soon......it could be 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, I will wait for that.

Hopefully the cure will be really available in my wife lifetime.
