As a Type 2 diabetic on a diet/exercise control, maybe with some meds thrown in, eating is not necessary at every meal time. You do need nourishment to keep your body in good shape. Everybody needs that, diabetics and nondiabetics. If you skip a lot of meals and eat low carb and low calorie then I recommend you take a multiple vitamin wvery day. There are certain nutrients you need and if you are not getting them in what you eat then you need supplements. I think you should request a blood work-up that will show if you are low in certain things that are important for all around good health.
