I was diagnosed 1-1/2 mos ago with Type 2 diabetes. With 1000 MG Metformin per day, my fasting glucose is now down to 90 on my Meter. But for some inexplicable reason, today I just feel like crying. I've been doing fine and very encouraged at how fast my body is responding to my diet and exercise, but I'm sitting here at work with a big lump in my throat on the verge of just bursting out in tears. Is this normal; is it a response to my blood sugar coming down? I'm also taking Linisopril and Simvastatin and a whole bunch of vitamins.

Well Starlynx . . . if you can take a little break to the rest room & just turn loose the waterworks, maybe the release is all you need. Who knows what brings on these emotions, but they're certainly real, and it's better to acknowledge them. I think it's normal . . . your body/mind/spirit is all entwined, and right now your body is getting some major readjustments. Not surprising that your emotions might be realigning too! You're doing fine! Hang in there!

Thanks for all your responses!! It's good to know that I'm not the only one experiencing this.
Your body is going through some adjustments, it is OK to be emotional! I like what Shanny suggested, just to let it all out. A good cry can be a real relief at times. I hope you feel better soon! ;)
