G'day all,

I'm very glad to have found this website. I have had Type 2 for just over 5 years now and so far have been doing ok in managing my levels. Of course, some days are better than others.

I am, however, interested in becoming even more proactive in my personal management and I find that, while there are a great number of resources available out there, these forums are so useful to be able to bounce ideas and experiences around.

I plan on doing a lot of reading and hopefully, when I am able, offering assistance when I can. I look forward to interacting with everyone.

Cheers. :canada:

Hello Rick, and welcome aboard! I sure agree with you - the best resources are our fellow diabetics - the ones who live with it day-in/day-out. The docs & other professionals prob'ly have the best intentions, but it's just hard to understand unless you're managing it 24/7/365. Besides that, each of us being so individual that everything must be trial & error until we find what works best for us & even then no guarantee that our systems won't change in another six months! No wonder we get frustrated! lol! There is sure no one-size-fits-all solution to diabetes.

It's great to have you join us & I hope we'll see you around here often.

take care & be well,
