Freestyle Libre 3 issues

I am a longtime Libre 2 user with little issues. I have little good results with freestyle libre3 sensors. They are applied in the correct location and correctly adhered. Here is a series of screenshots from my phone. I applied a sensor and it worked fine for 2 days, then got very erratic and quit reading.

Then it went to a low glucose reading but within a couple minutes back to a normal reading.

Later it went low again.

Finally, I replaced the sensor and the new one worked for a couple hours and then quit reading.

I have had sensor work great for 14 days. But way too many, have errored out. They have sent me 3 replacements but I had issues with those too. I have no confidence in the Libre3 system and will be going back to finger sticks. You need glucose readings you can trust. I thought I'd post this to see if anyone has had and solved these issues. Thanks for your time.

I know there are a couple of Libre 3 users here, maybe @Lee_Bo has some insight and will respond.

I think it would be interesting to have access to a CGM as a non-insulin using Type 2, but not if was being really erratic. It would really suck if for that to happen for someone depending on it using insulin.

Oh, by the way, welcome to the forum. If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to invite you to post in the new member introductory thread so that other members can get to know you better.

Welcome to the community, @gkowen ! I know our member @kyteflyer has been using a Libre; not sure if she's move to a 3.

Not being a Libre user myself, I guess the questions I'd ask are if you've contacted your medical care team (that is, not just Abbott) about the issue and whether you've changed your daily routine in such a way that would affect electronic devices.

Or maybe your electronic devices have changed. I did a quick Web search and it seems a surprising number of sensor failures are fixed by either restarting your smartphone or uninstalling and reinstalling the Libre app. I wouldn't do this, though, until another sensor has "tapped out" because some of the reports I read indicate that the phone sometimes has trouble communicating with a "running" sensor after the reinstall/restart (which means starting again with a new one). This seems to affect both Apple and Android phones (which, to my IT-trained mind, points at the Libre device but resetting the app seems to be the fix).

As mbuster mentioned, it would be great if you would introduce yourself in the New Member forum. Looking forward to seeing more posts from you!

Wow. No, @itissteve I havent moved to a 3, they are not yet available here. Based on @gkowen post, I’m glad its not here yet because Abbott in Oz doesnt like us to have a choice. We had to move to the 2 even if it was not really needed, its the only available device here.

Also, I am reluctantly not currently using Libre at all, because rising costs of food and utilities has put it out of reach for me, where it will stay until our government takes pity on us and subsidises it for all insulin dependent diabetics, not just T1s. $200 a month is too much for a age pensioner to manage.
Thanks, Sue. I know you had mentioned going off the Libre you had for $$ reasons but also knew how much you preferred the CGM model. Seems to me there's room for a real disruptor in this market.
