Fried Donuts
I haven't tried these yet, but plenty of people have. There are three pages of rave reviews. At the top of the web page is the recipe made using Carbsense Zero Carb Bake Mix, but if you scroll down, you will see the same recipe using almond flour instead. (Note that when using almond flour, use 2 tablespoons water instead of 3.) After reading some of the comments, I plan to use no-carb syrup instead of water. The recipe makes 8 donut holes.

Instead of sprinkling sweetener on top, I plan to dip them in cream cheese frosting.

Dry Ingredients:

3 Tablespoons almond flour
1 Packet Splenda
1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder

Wet Ingredients:

1 Large Egg White
2 Tablespoons syrup or water

Beat egg white, Splenda & syrup with a fork until frothy.
Add dry ingredients and combine well.
Fry batter in oil of choice until crispy & golden brown.

I make a similar recipe, but I use Vanilla Whey Powder. I think the recipe comes from Laura Dolson's site

1/2 cup whey powder
1/4 t nutmeg
2 t baking powder
1/8 t sea salt
2 T heavy cream
1 egg
2 T water
1/4 cup sugar equivalent

Mix ingredients and fry in hot Coconut Oil.

When you take them out, cool on rack and roll in splenda and cinnamon. I have also iced these with Walden Farms chocolate or caramel dip.
