Hi
I had gestational diabetes, then post partum thyroiditis. Although the thryoid side is better my endo requested that I do a GAD test recently. The result from the serum <0.1 with ref range <1. Can anyone tell me what this means?
I would assume it is ok however there is a big explanation underneath saying "GAD65 anitibodies indicate islet cell autoimmunity that may progress to insulin depended diabetes". Then it explains that it is found in % of people and goes on with figures etc.
I am confused does this mean I am pre disposed or not??
