For the last 2 years, I've had a lot of belly issues complicated by other stuff (which messed up my BG). I was finally diagnosed with Gastroparesis. This is common amongst diabetes sufferers and means that your stomach is not emptying at a normal rate. Makes balancing short acting insulin difficult. In addition, it may cause or worsen fatty liver (so those of you with triglycerides that won't improve - hey this could be why!). After months of mush diet, I'm now also on Reglan and hope that the two together will get this fixed over a 3 month period.

Anyway, just mentioning that if you have repeated bloating or pain in stomach, don't ignore it. There are several bad things that could be causing it and you should, at the very least, have a gastroenterologist check it out.

Hello BUNJEE!!!!! So good to see your name here again.

You've had quite a time it seems. I understand about gastroparesis. I have a mild case of it so I can sympathize with you to some extent. Sure am hoping the treatment will work for you.
