You will enjoy the tSlim pump. I just switched from Medtronics to the tSlim several weeks ago.I was just called from the company my endo uses to order pumps. They will be shipping my t:slim G4 today!
This is my first pump, so I am EXCITED beyond belief. They told me it would take 3-5 business days. I would think the 3 since they are only about 35 miles from me. Then I have to call to get trained on it. Right now, I'm busy reading the manual.
I know of a lady on another forum who uses both the T-Slim and the diasend. She is currently on vacation, but when she returns I will try to contact her and see how she makes diasend work. She also has a Mac computer, so I'm guessing that might make it a little more challenging.I'm now 8 days into wearing my G4. My clinics office was told by Diasend that their software would support the G4, it doesn't at the moment. So we had to go with the Tconnect. It didn't much matter to me which one we used. I just don't like to clutter my computer with too many useless programs. My pump trainer was upset that the Diasend program wasn't compatible with the G4. From everything I understand, I'm the first person at the clinic, and it's a BIG clinic, to get the G4. But at least they learned early the problem.
I've had one bad site already. I couldn't believe it. My blood sugars didn't get excessively high, and it only hurt when over 2 units of insulin went it. Thankfully my trainer called me early in the morning so I could ask her if that was what a bad site was.
I like having the Dexcom integrated into the T:slim. For me it's so much easier. So far, I really like pumping.
