Well after being type 1 for 48 years, last year my GFR in my labs started dropping. It's now down to 50. Endo put me on paricalcitol and has slowed the numbers lowering. I only have 1 kidney as well. I lost the other before my Dx as diabetic.
Is anyone else going thru this right now? I have neuropathy and some other smaller issues from bring aT1D for so long. With my GFR now in yellow zone I'm seriously worried that my kidney will fail.
Who's here going they this as well??

Were there any symptoms before you got your GFR results or did it come as a complete surprise?

No zero symptoms, I suppose that's good news. I posted this as I'm just concerned now. Although my phospherous it's of as well but not physical symptoms. I am cool living w neuropathy but this can get serious as you know. I'm just anxious every time my labs are done now. Thx and I hope it keeps winning as well!!👍

Just had labs drawn yesterday. Now awaiting ticking clock on latest GFR result. I'll lost the number. Thank you feeling Diabetics for replying!

I have not gone thru this so cannot share any experience in this regards. I have read that people living with one kidney often have lower GFR numbers. I hope your results come back with good numbers.

I have not gone thru this so cannot share any experience in this regards. I have read that people living with one kidney often have lower GFR numbers. I hope your results come back with good numbers.

Great news! Labs in GFR up from 50 to 53. Still worries me but this is great news.

Yes I'm happy about this! Not to think I'm worrying about nothing but seems it's been stable 50-53 last 1 1/2 years. Great news and thanks for your input 👍🏁🏁
