I came into work this morning (had no breakfast) and took a reading at 8:00: 5.8. Great! Then I discovered that I had forgotten my lunch at home. Horrors! I had 2 cups of green tea and at 11:30 took a reading: 8.4. Yikes!

What would be the cause of this?

at work we have boxes of different types of tea (bagged). No additives at all. I take it straight.

I do the same thing. If I get a result that I cannot explain, I usually retest within a few minutes.
