I am new to diabetes (that's what we are calling it for now) and can not get a handle on why my numbers are so varied. This month I have numers as low as 46 and as high as 656.
This morning I woke up and tested at 308. I administered insulin (65 units) per Dr. orders. I was planning on eating but was side tracked. Took reading hour later (had not consumed anything) and reading was 349. I have two meters that I check accuracy every month.
Last intake of food was dinner the night before (chicken). What causes this? My numbers always seem to do opposite of what I expect. Looking for any ideas I am running out of Doctors to visit that keep saying we need more tests.
Thanks,
Craig
