Hello & welcome, Craig. Are you type 1? What kind of insulin are you using?Tell us more about your diet. Are you taking other meds? Even at 300-something, you are out of control. You should be seeing numbers grouped around 100.

Since I don't use insulin, I'll let others comment more fully on that, but if you haven't had a test for GAD antibodies, get on somebody's case and get one. If they're treating you like type 2 just because you're 40 years old, they could be making a big mistake. Get tested for GAD antibodies.

What specifically does your limited low carb diet consist of besides chicken?
