It's All In The Interpretation Of The News Article..!!
"A store employee told one investigator that it was okay to replace blood pressure medication with a garlic supplement."
Who was the employee.. and no, I don't mean his/her name. Specifically.. did the "Old Man" ask the question to a licensed pharmacist, or was it the janitor? Come on now.. that would be like me asking my Doctors receptionist if she thinks I should take my Metformin twice a day, or all at once. I mean after all, she works in a Doctors office, doesn't she?
I think all of us here are not only knowledgeable, but smart enough to realize you don't ask a medical question (or any other type question for that matter), of someone who isn't versed with a background in that particular subject.
"Supplements are sold with trace amounts of dangerous substances, including arsenic and lead, while some pills are also laced with pesticides."
Well you better not tell the general public about all the "stuff" that's in or on the daily food they eat, because if they ever found out.. they'd never touch a fork to their lips again.
I think Sen. John McCain should have a lot better things to do than get all cranked up over this.
