Hey Peter:

:D Thank you! We just got back from the nearby park where the community is having its B.B.Q. I love seeing all the little Kids getting their faces painted, running their balloons, flags, flying kites and all the other festivities. They're heading to the beach afterwards.

There's a band at another park not far away since I can hear the music. Many of those all through our city.

As usual many People were celebrating yesterday and putting off the fireworks in the evening(which is supposed to be done this evening). But it rained some yesterday so they weren't too successful.

I was wanting to go to Parliament Hill for the fireworks tonight but there are always way too many People. You feel like a sardine wrapped in saran wrap. :D Hopefully we can get to a Friend's place later for a get together. My Husband has started some work outside, so I don't know if he'll be finished by then. :rolleyes:Yup, it's a Beautiful Day!

Hey you didn't say when Australia's Birthday is Peter. If you or anyone else would like to make a thread for their celebrations...feel free. :)

Hey Terrie, I am glad that you have had a good day and a BBQ!!!, How meny ribbs did you eat??
Well, ribs aren't a part of these smaller park celebrations just at the bigger parks when they have the concerts. Yesterday, they just had hotdogs, hamburgers, sausages(all the junk that you can put on top), drinks and baked goods. That was Fine with us. It's the atmosphere that we enjoyed. Oh btw, I'm not much of a carnivore so I don't eat meat much and what I do eat is deboned. So no ribs for me thanks. :)

OK Terrie, We have our national holiday were it's expected that you should relax with a beer and a good BBQ with some great meat and salad. That day is practiced on Monday 26 January 2009!!! And I cannot wait.
January 26th?? That's winter time!! With snow!! It must be Hell getting the fireworks going. :D Just kidding Peter...I know that our seasons are opposite. I also know that you will have a Fabulous time in Australia on January 26, 2009. ;)

Thanks again! :) You mean that you are actually building a B.B.Q. out of the 200 bricks?? I haven't seen one of those in some time. I think many People still have them at their cottages though. Those are really Nice. Sounds like you'll have a big one. It also sounds like hard work cleaning the bricks. Good Luck with that...and don't hurt yourself. ;)
