I joined the forum a few months ago when i was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I have been trying to get my life under some sort of control since that time, and have been reading a lot of information about type 2. I have gotten a lot of information from this site, and I am looking forward to getting more information to help me with feeling better.

Hey y'all:) Thanks for the welcomes!
Patdart, yes Killeen is a base town smack dab in the middle of Texas. Some people don't like it, but I don't mind it at all. Hubby is retired Air Force, and was stationed here when I met him, so this is where we will stay.

As to getting my diabetes under control, I have changed the way I eat substantially. I have lost almost thirty pounds, and feel better than I have in a very long time. I am still working at a lot of things, but I think that I have a good start on it. I am looking forward to talking to everyone on here and learning more.

:)
