Hello Steve, from the opposite side of the pond. Here in the states we would have an ophthamologist do the laser surgery on our eyes. Is your GP a specialist in dealing with eye problems and laser treatment? I don't know about the paperwork, I am sure it might be quite different in the UK.

New to the forum diagnosed type 1 diabetic for 18 years, has a sweet tooth and likes a good pint a lager from time to time. Just wondering if anyone has some info or advice for me regarding the following.
Just wondering if you need any further documents/paperwork before having laser eye treament from your gp/practitioner.I'm seriously considering having my eyes lasered. I'm worried about long term after-care and the fact that im slightly off course with my blood sugar levels at the minute. (22 year old male enjoys having a few pints through the week not in excess) thanks.
