I was diagnosed with T2 in June. My A1c was 15.3. The first thing I did was learn what my A1c meant. When I discovered how high it really was, I immediately got to work figuring out how to best manage this condition.

I found this board and learned a ton about keeping good control through diet and exercise. I'm also on Metformin 1000 x 2.

I just received the results of my last A1c and decided this would be a good time to introduce myself. My last A1c was 6.1!!

I don't think I would have reached this level without learning from the collective wisdom of this board. So thank you very much.

Hello Sue, welcome aboard! That A1c is outstanding, keep it low like that and you will be much less likely to develop diabetes complications. Thanks for giving this forum some credit for your good control. Keep up the good work.
