hi! all of u .i m ankita .i was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 44it came probably as an outcome of me suffering from depression since last 2 years..due to antidepressants i became more prone to diabetes coz i had a family history of diabetes.i m also suffering from hypertension.i m having diabetes since 2 yrs. now i m having symptoms such as numbness in hands and burning sensation in foot. also having periodic abdominal pain,headache.but i'm still on antidiabetic drugs.

Hello Ankita , Welcome to DF and I find you frustrated and can be moody as myself can be also although don't take meds to control depression. I am 47 YO Male who had this disease for 37 years and there fore a type 1. What's your control like as the Blood Glucose should be in or near to 6 / 108.

You will need to know about Carbohydrates and counting this as this will be a way to loose weight. You can also exercise to lower BG too.
