This thread is kind of old, but better late than never.
I do take alot of supps and vitamins. Some have worked well for me others not so much.
At first I went at it with a shotgun approach, didn't work.
What I had to do was break down all of my problems and deal with them one at a time. Digestion, insulin resistance, insulin metabolism, do I have enough insulin, insulin release.
I then researched what supp would help me with an individual problem that I had.
I take Bitter melon, helps control liver (similar to MET)
Vanydal Sulfate, works like insulin
Gymnema Sylvestrae, helps metabolize glucose
Mag, Zinc, Bx, V-D, Chrome
ALA
L- Arginine
Dandelion, helps with GLP-1 release, the signal for insulin release
The biggest impact was fiber from Ground Flax seed and resistance starch.
I think there is more, can't remember, might need to start taking ginko again.
