herbal cure for diabetes - recognized by govt of india ?

Herbal treatment for diabetes

Diabetes is today one of the most common ailments, known to affect 10 per cent of Indians. According to unofficial reports, incidence of diabetes could be even as high as 30 per cent. Which means, between10 to 30 Crore persons in India suffer from this disease. And the number is growing.

Rice is the staple diet of people in most parts of India, especially the Southern states. A major problem faced by diabetes patients in India is that they are prevented from consuming rice due to diet restrictions. Rice is said to contain more carbohydrates than is good for the delicate digestive balance of diabetes patients. It is to fulfill the needs of this large segment of people that Enviro Eco Systems has come out with a revolutionary new formulation ? AMRUTHAM DIARICE-NH.

Amrutham Diarice is essentially high quality Ponni variety rice specially cultivated for the purpose in organic paddy fields in Karnataka that is treated with a combination of 11 proven anti-diabetes herbs. Amrutham Diarice not only enables diabetes patients to consume their favourite rice dishes, but also brings down their blood sugar levels progressively. In a few weeks, they are in a position to taper down and even discontinue their insulin injections and other anti-diabetes medication. What is more, Amrutham Diarice is totally natural, causes no side-effects and is completely safe. It has been tested out and found to be effective even in cases of infantile diabetes. Since a herbal coating has been made on pre-cleaned rice, users should not wash the rice and drain away the water. They should soak the required quantity for a few minutes and then pressure-cook it. Amrutham Diarice can also be safely used by those who do not have diabetes.

Amrutham Diarice - NH is the product of nearly 10 years of research. It has been tried out on several thousand patients and its efficacy proven. It retains all its natural goodness of rice, while the herbal coating ensures that not only is the carbohydrate level in the blood kept under control but the blood sugar level itself is brought down to normal levels. Amrutham Diarice has been successfully launched in the state of Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh.

Note : Amrutham Diarice-NH might cause marginal fluctuations in the blood sugar levels initially. Continued use for a week will stabilize the blood sugar level. Do not discontinue or reduce usage of routine anti-diabetes medicines during the first week of use of Amrutham Diarice-NH. Thereafter, the anti-diabetes medicines can be gradually tapered down.

Instructions for use :

1. Amrutham Diarice has been pre-cleaned. So do not wash and drain the rice.
2. Washing and draining Diarice will remove its herbal coating.
3. Pressure-cook Diarice and consume as usual twice a day for immediate and effective results.
4. Diarice is made with a combination of 8 proven anti-diabetes herbs and is a safe and effective remedy for diabetes.
5. Do not discontinue Diarice when your blood sugar levels come to normal. Diarice can be safely consumed even by non-diabetics.

Note : Amrutham Diarice might cause initial fluctuations in blood sugar levels. Continue usage of Diarice for 5 days to stabilize blood sugar level. Do not discontinue routine anti-diabetes medicines during the first week. Thereafter, gradually reduce the medicines and continue with Diarice.

here is the government certification of the rice.

Sounds to me more or less like something the government came up with to put a little bit more green in there pockets. I wonder how many diabetics are running out there consuming this stuff, thinking wow, no more insulin!!!! So the government is not only making money off of the medication, but now from this new product. So for the gov't its win win, for the rest of us, its still a strugel for survival.

Diarice really works

My mother in law, who has been a diabetic for almost 30 years has been taking Diarice for the last four months. And believe me, it really works. Today she is off medicines. And her sugar level today is normal. She does not suffer from any tiredness. Altogether very encouraging. The company's other product - Diawheat is also very useful. Whether it will be equally effective in Type 1 diabetes, i really don't know. But then, why not give it a try?

I read the information and the certificate link. The certificate is not a real government certificate. And the information is not true either.

In view of the overall scepticism about the product, I contacted the manufacturers of Diarice. They forwarded the report of a stucy conducted on diabetics which I am attaching for the benefit of all. Heregoes :

EFFECT OF DIARICE USAGE ON CHRONIC DIABETICS ? A STUDY

1. Diarice was first developed 10 years ago. Since then, it has been tested on thousands of persons, with extremely good results.

2. After it was decided to market Diarice commercially, empirical studies were conducted on 50 confirmed diabetics (those who had been diagnosed as suffering from diabetes for five years or more), whose random blood sugar levels ranged from 210 mg/dl to 380 mg/dl. These patients were given 1 cup of cooked Diarice(about 150 grams) twice a day for a period of six weeks. Their blood sugar levels were monitored on a day to day basis. Most registered a decline in blood sugar levels within four days of commencing on Diarice. At the end of the study period (6 weeks), the blood sugar levels of 44 patients had come to normal levels while the others registered between 150 to 200 mg/dl, which was still substantially lower than their commencement levels. From the 14th to the 21st day all the patients were kept on 50 per cent of their regular dosage of medicines. Since there was no surge in their sugar levels, their medicine intake was further halved during the fourth week. When they still maintained satisfactory progress, during the fifth week, their medicines were stopped altogether.

Today, all of the above patients are on a regular diet of Diarice and their blood sugar levels are at an encouraging 80 to 110 mg/dl range. All of the above patients were in the 40+ age group, with 8 persons in the 50+ segment. The tabulated results of the study are given below.

Blood Sugar
Level 120 150 180 210 240 270 300 330 360 mg/dl

Test sample 0 0 0 12 8 15 9 4 3 = 50

Week 2 0 0 8 14 10 12 5 1 0

Week 3 0 4 14 11 8 10 3 0 0

Week 4 5 10 18 8 7 2 0 0 0

Week 5 18 14 10 5 3 0 0 0 0

Week 6 31 13 4 0 0 0 0 0 0

Diarice?

I really doubt the scientific value of the described research and the intentions or Mr. Reporter/Dustsree (which suspect to be the same person or from the same company). I will not delete this thread though because I think it is good to discuss this kind of natural cures. Although nothing I read above can convince me that Diarice would be of any value to a Diabetes patient, some people may benefit from it or from other products. Evaluating this among the forum users will help anybody in making good decisions in their diet and medication. If anybody wants to share his/her experiences with this product or more elaborate research on this product, please feel free to do so.

I agree. There are a lot of promises told to users with regards to herbals being miracle cures - promises that are more often not met than met. Having said that, i am afraid that it destroys the reputation of those that really has "effect" i am not saying which or what products - because i know there are a number out there. I just want to point out that we be careful of what we choose to take and, of course, keeping an open mind about alternative medications - not really shutting them out. But also be cautious, if you do plan on taking them ask for your doctors advice first (sad to say, that most doctors are not into this but if you have a doc that is open minded good for you); because there might be unwanted effects should your medicine be taken together with these "naturals". I guess all i am saying is be informed before taking anything make your research first.

Cheers,
Otep

I also checked the certificate that has been mentioned and it does not look to be actual government one. It is hard to believe what all has been stated here.

I?m really not up to date with those herbal cures... but I think that if this diarice could be so good as been said, everyone should be trying to get it.

I would like to know if there is a brand selling diarice here in South America.

Cheers!

Hello, I agree with you. It' s very common that these people use forums to promote magic cures.
We have to be more careful about this.

hi ,

what i find interesting about this subject is the immediate doubt people have . I myself immediatly went and "googled" the subject . Not much information is available as it is only a "brand of rice " .

what is more important is it doesnt cliam to cure diabetes but lowers the sugar level .If you stop eating it , the sugar level will go back up .
Trouble is you have to eat at least 2 meals of this rice a day , and unless you are from the asian countries I am sure this doesnt appeal too much .

What I also find interesting , is no one has actually tried it yet . I myself will try to get some and see what differance it makes ( my wife is asian so we eat a lot of rice at times ) , but i doubt i will eat it 2 times a day so in the end i think it will be of no use to me . I also dont think (as it is not a cure ) once your levels return to normal that you would be able to eat a bar of choclolate .

A study of only 50 persons is not enough. Also they include a double blind study where part of the consumers of this substance did not know whether they were taking it or taking something else. A lot of factors can skew a study in either outcome.
