I have been a type 2 diabetic for over 3 years now but this is all about to change.
I am 36 years old and have kept to a strict diet for this time. Being 17st when first diagnosed I worked very hard to get my bs down losing 5 st exercising regularly.
Last week I got the symptoms of high bs thirst etc, so off to the hospital I went. BOMBSHELL bs 26 (not sure of the conversion)
been givin 3 months till insulin is introduced max.
At the moment I am on no meds diet controlled only.
So what to do from here on ?

Hello and welcome to our support group! That is great that you were able to lose so much weight! Now exercising and eating a very low carb diet is the way you can get lower blood sugar until you start insulin. Greatly reducing your carb intake can be very helpful. These are things you should continue doing even after you begin using insulin.

Ask all the questions you want!
