My name is Dawie and I am diagnosed with Pre-Diabetes(I think).
It is nothing serious yet, but I occasionally have my blood sugar between 7-11. All I know is that the doctor was quite concerned and sent me to a dietitian. The symptoms I experience is that of fatigue and thirst when my sugar levels aren't normal. I will sometimes get a bit shaky. A lot of people in my family suffers from Diabetes.
I am also suffering from high cholesterol. (Might be part of the doctors concern)

In my part of the world they say there is no such thing as Pre-Diabetes. You either have it or you don't. I hope you do not.

I'm just learning all this myself.

Studies have shown that walnuts and almonds can significantly reduce blood cholesterol. Have a handful every now and then.

Good luck
Thank you for the tip. My mother in law suggested the same. I love Almonds - so I am happy that it does a whole lot of good as well.

Regarding the pre-diabetes thing: Then I sure hope that I do not have it then. I have myself tested every 3 months or so. A bit more often if I do not feel well.(My mom used to work in the pathology lab and had me tested from a young age, because it runs heavily in the family) I am now 34 and my sugar levels increased over the years and sometimes it goes a bit heigh, but since I have been put on a strict diet, things seemed to improve.:)
