Welcome Aboard Gary! :) Happy 2008!

Hey, Good for you. That's a Nice amount of weight loss. That alone
helps a lot. I'm Happy that your numbers and blood pressure are doing
better also.

I have not read the book that you mentioned but I certainly could
agree on a couple points that you made, debate a few plus raise you
one.

After all, even though I wasn't raised in the caveman days(okay,
sometimes I question that...) we have learned a few tidbits
from back then.

Anyways, Nice to meet you and Thanks for the interesting post. :D

Thanks, Richard and Terrie! :D
I know what you mean about not being sure whether or not you're living in the stone age, Terrie. Looking around at some of what's happening in the world today, it makes me wonder if we've really advanced much at all. ;)

YW. Actually, I meant it felt more like the stone age when I
was growing up in the 60's. The rest was Good.

The advancements in the world has been amazing especially in
the technology in the hospitals, in our homes and devices to help
the Patients. Especially for Diabetics.

But seeing in the news about the tainted food, the bad stuff in Kids
toys, what junk some of the the products are made of, etc. That
is depressing. Oh well.

Early 60's? No thanks. Those needles and Clinitest
tablets. Of course, you were not a Diabetic
then.

As far as the latter, you must be talking about
Woodstock :D and all those events. I was too
young for that.

In the 70's, I found things were less stressful. I was
a teen so I got to do more of what I wanted to do.
Plus, I moved out on my own.

We all remember our favourite times. I do agree with
you on the technology. Particularly in the '80's. Things
were flying. Almost every other time I went to my Endo,
she had some new gadget for me to try out.

Oh well, it was all an interesting time. Certainly the
healthiest. I wouldn't go back either. ;)
