Hi everyone, I'm new to this site but have enjoyed reading the information available here. I was diagnosed with type 2 in 1998. Up to now I've always been low, sometimes dangerously low (30-35 BG). I was recently diagnosed with Neuroendicrine Carcinoma and am being treated with Octrotide which my doctor says has caused my high blood sugars. My doctor has me on the following scale:
BS 130-160 3 + 12 Base = 15 Units
BS 161-190 4 + 12 Base = 16 Units
BS 191-220 5 + 12 Base = 17 Units
BS 221-250 6 + 12 Base = 18 Units
BS 251-280 7 + 12 Base = 19 Units
BS 281-310 8 + 12 Base = 20 Units
BS 310-340 9 + 12 Base = 21 Units
BS > 340 10 + 12 Base = 22 Units
Lantus Long Acting 20 Units @ Bedtime

Does anyone here have similar issues?
Regards,
Ken
