Hiya Folks!

Just a quick note to announce my arrival. I was diagnosed a couple of years ago and chose to ignore it. 1 month ago events led me back to the Dr. and I am now taking this seriously. My A1C was terribly high and I now have things way more in control and actually taking my metformin and eating better. Anyway, glad to be here and hope to make some good friends.

Nice to see Ya. You like most, just went into Diabetes denial until you realized that it's not a Good place to be. How high was your A1c? I'm Glad that you have turned your Life around. It's less scary when you know how to and what you are trying to control. Welcome!

He there Terrie! Thanks for the welcome. My A1C was 13.4 and probably headed up if I had not started feeling awful and finally after 2 years tested my bg was 490 and that was fasting. Now it's staying anywhere from 90 to 120 and if I eat a few things it might go up to 150 for an hour or so but seems to come right back to a good range by 2 hours every time.

For sure, that''s a high A1c alright. Those are a Good range of numbers that you have there now though. Great job! You can live a Happier longer Life now. (And Diabetes will always be an annoyance.) Hey, that's a Good photo of you. Thanks!

Yeah, I guess I finally realized how serious it is. At least I'm feeling way way better now so that's good. And I've found out I can eat a few bad things w/o my level going way up soooooooo It's not all bad. lol

Ha! I didn't know Forums had Sweet Talkers. Hmmmm...do they get paid? True enough, sometimes a treat is Good to have. Keeps us somewhat sane. As long as our sugars aren't affected too often. I'm Very Glad that you are feeling better. It's better than feeling like...uke:.

Ya, a Bunny. She's a Sweety. I have a mean Friend who keeps saying he's going to make rabbit stew. He's a Diabetic and he's alwaaaaaaays eating. Thus the rabbit stew.
