Home-made Peanut Butter!

OK, in my quest to continue making healthy things...

I made home-made peanut butter! Turns out if you put unsalted roasted peanuts in a food processor, and let 'er rip ... you get peanut butter after only a couple of minutes.

Amazing, huh? I'll be having some with my snack tonight. :)

I did find it needed just a hint of salt and a little peanut oil as it was slightly too thick. But otherwise, GREAT.

This certainly reduces the bad hydrogenated fats in the diet...

You only had to ad oil because you used roasted peanuts. If you used raw peanuts you would not have that problem. You can also just buy natural peanut butter.

Yeah, I saw natural peanut butter in the store... they wanted freaking $6 for a 500g (just over a pound) container...

I made my own for about 1/4 of that... =)

If I can find some raw peanuts I'll try that next time, thanks.
