Hi,
I'm a type I diabetic, have been for about 7 years. I have a 2 and half year old and a 4 month old. I've been so busy lately (I know it's no excuse) that I haven't been able to keep up on a lot of my diabetes care. Behind with endo appts., less fingersticks etc. I've been feeling really lousy laltely...tired, rundown, hungry (especially in the middle of the night) and I'm guessing it's due to a decline in my ability to manage my diabetes as well as I used to. My daughter is suspected to have diabetes, have an endo appt. with her coming up, she's starting preschool soon, I just returned to work from maternity leave etc....again, I know it's no excuse, but that's what's going on. I'm just wondering how everyone else handles this and if anyone has any suggestions?

I do not have the same situation as you, but I do go to school full time, work almost full time in a managerial position (which is like having kids sometimes :)) and I am very active in my church and various political campaigns and groups. I wake up every morning annd decide to fight this battle today. We almost HAVE to forget what happened yesterday.
I will pray for you and hope you find some balance. Good luck and I hope your daughter's check up goes well and comes back negative.
