What are some things that one can do while on an atypical anti-psychotic medication (like Zyprexa, Seroquel, Risperdal, Abilify) to reduce the chances of developing hyperglycemia and/or diabetes?
I assume you have asked your doctor for possible substitutes for the more dangerous medications that might cause diabetes. If you haven's then you should ask. I know that Seroquel has caused some people to develop diabetes but I am not familiar with the other medications. I'm sorry I cannot help you with this.
