I'm needing to eat right and excersice and I just don't have the motivation for either one. I am not on any medications. My a1c was 6.1 back on April 23rd. I'm suppose to be walking 30 mins. everyday I don't even have to go to the park to walk I can walk our 5 acres we have.

I have thought about watching The Biggest Loosing and am hoping I can some motivation from there.

I just need to get off my butt and get motivated and it's just not there.

What do you all think. Thanks in advanced.
My motivation? I would rather keep my feet and kidneys and eyes rather than have that piece of cake :) I would rather be able to still feel my feet when I walk :) I would rather take my medicine and get 30 minutes of exercise a day then have to be hooked up for a few hours 3-4 times a week to a dialysis machine when my kidneys fail. :) Dont mean to sound harsh...but those are some of the sad truths of uncontrolled and untended diabetes. Often you will still feel fine for years...then the complications hit. Once they are are stuck with them. Diabetes does not have to be a death sentence. Many people, me included, are living healthy and well. Have I fallen off the wagon before? You bet'cha...we all have. But it isnt worth feeling sick :) Start small, it makes changes easier to handle. You will find very soon that those changes become habit and you actually start to like exercising and eating better. Good luck to you and let us know how you are doing! Feel free to rant, rave and ask anything you need. We are all here for each other!
