As the mom of 5 kids, I can tell you that you never get enough sleep until they move out. That being said being diabetic also plays havoc with your sleep. If your bgs are high you may be getting up several times to use the bathroom or if you have neuropathies , you may have pain in your legs. I found as my bgs dropped my sleep improved. Also I started usig 3 mg of melatonin at night. It is a natural hormone that sometimes gets disrupted as we age. It just takes the edge off a little and allows me to get a really deep sleep. Before taking it I never dreamed much because my sleep was hit or miss. Now I get real intense dreams and usually wake up with better bgs.
