Im a newbie and this has been nothing but a horrible nightmare or an out of control blood sugar roller coaster. I feel like i have the flu. I have a headache and i feel like im going to vomit. Today my blood sugqar has went from 70 to 230.... this is horrible. Is this normal and am i going to feel like this all the time? Or am i doing something wrong?

Being sick will definitely raise your blood sugar, April . . . keep pushing fluids so you won't become dehydrated.

In view of your recent history, I think I'd call the doctor so this doesn't get any worse. There are too many variables here with your surgery, the infection & now the yoyo-ing blood sugars . . . keep your doc in the loop & get in to see him if you can.
