Has anybody tried any of the low carb ice creams. I've only tried 3 brands so far. Halo Top, Rebel, and RealGood.

I've tried Halo Top (and, in fact, have more in the freezer for one of the Christmas meals we've been invited to), Rebel (once), and Aldi's house brand.

Of them all, I liked the Rebel best, both in texture and for the range of flavors. The Halo Tops I've tried have been good, but in my experience they melt down as quickly as the cheap house brand gallon bucket ice creams elsewhere in the freezer section. I'm not a huge fan of ice cream soup. I don't remember if I've tried the Aldi once or twice, but it didn't ring the bell for me -- the flavor was good but the grainy texture of the ice cream put me off.

As they sometimes say, though, sometimes the miracle is that it works at all.

Our Walmarts all seem to carry the same flavors and I know I haven't tried them all. Most have a dry feel about them, doesn't feel like they make my mouth wet. I really like the Halo Top chocolate, it seems like it has a better texture than the others. Rebel is about the same kind of dry to me.

I bought some RealGood ice cream, said 4 Sugars on the front. Looked at the label next time at the store it and about fell over. 63 grams cabs for the whole little tub. Didn't seem to swing my BG, so I bought another and tried again, about 3 hours after eating checked BG, it was good. I was looking at the website today and it says they use allulose for a sweetener. I wonder if the 4 grams is net carbs because they don't factor out the allulose on the label. Wondering if anybody else has tried it?
