I took my son to a dr's appt this afternoon.. I started to not feel so good and didn't realize that my blood sugar was crashing... ( still getting used to having them with the new meds)

My 16 yr old son saw that I wasn't quite right and got my test kit for me.. tested and I was down to 66.. just then the dr came in and he asked them for some crackers or something.. Dr asked if he was hungry.. he said no.. its for my mom she is diabetic and her blood sugar is too low.

I always thought my son was an amazing kid.. today he just proved it to the nth degree!

It's great to know that someone has your back when you need them. Great job on your son's part! I always carry an emergency hypo/ heart attack kit with me wherever I go. It has a whistle to attract attention if I'm alone, an OJ tetra pack that I renew each week and my nitro pills as well as emergency numbers, a meds list and my spare BG testing kit. My wife knows all about it and what to use if it ever needs to be opened.
