IGF-1(Insulin Growth Factor-1) is a compound produced primarily in the liver through a conversion of HGH (Human Growth Hormone). HGH is secreted by the pituitary gland and is essential for growth and optimum Defense mechanism of body function. This dietary supplement will be a promising addition to the nutrition regimen of fitness enthusiasts.

I wouldn't call iGF (1 or 2) a compound, nor a dietary supplement.

It is a hormone, and outside of endogenous conversion from HGH, can only be manufactured recombinantly. Like modern synthetic Insulin is. Current iGF manufacturer's have a strong grip on their patents, and fight fiercely to keep out competitors.

So I don't think you will be seeing iGF on the shelves of your local grocer or health store, like you do with vitamins and minerals, any time soon.
