And, it turns out, our bodies kick off more of an inflammation response than the bodies of non-diabetic people. How this can be regulated or minimized, to aid both insulin/glucose management and make exercise (normally really good for diabetics) less painful, is one of the questions coming out of this study from Sweden.

"Given the health-promoting effects of regular physical exercise on metabolism and skeletal muscle function, the exacerbated inflammatory response in individuals with type 2 diabetes is likely a beneficial response to acute exercise"
