I just got out of the hospital after being in there for 6 weeks for a bone infection in my right lower foot and a blood infection. Fortunately, after 6 weeks of heavy duty IV antibiotics, both infections are gone. A blood infection can be deadly; a bone infection can result in amputation!

Oh,that is sad to hear. I sure hope that you will soon be over that wound and that you heal Well.

Did you leave your Insulin pump(infusion set) in too long and that caused the infection? You had that infection for 1.5 years? Wow! Why did you not go to the Doctor sooner?

I believe that this is the VAC pump that you are speaking of.

VAC Pump

I find that interesting since I've never seen one before or knew they existed.

Awww! I feel for you. You are certainly going through several Bad
things now. Yes, a Lady asked about Staphylococcus aureus on the
french forum and I found some information for her. That must be
awful for you.

Many People with Diabetes get a condition due to that bacteria and
it can lead to many different problems. I'm pretty sure my Good Friend
got a similar infection when she was in the Hospital. I do hope that you
are Well again soon Druifje. :)

Hi:

Bless your heart. I agree. You've been through way too much. I do pray that the Dr. finds the Perfect treatment for you. Then you can get back on your pump and start Life anew.

Although garlic may be helpful along with treatments for ailments it certainly IS NOT to be used instead of antibiotics or other meds. Giving such advice can/will cause detrimental results to a Person who has a disease.

The damaging colonization of bacterial micro-organisms can get out of control Very quickly and needs to be eliminated by more powerful means than garlic.

Re : Diabetes Infection

Early treatment of infections can prevent more serious complications.Foot infection is the most common in diabetes people. Daily foot care should be included in patient education.Consult your doctor immediately if you have any problem. That is better suggestion to diabetes people.
