Instapot Cabbage and Sausage

A month or so ago I purchased an instapot pressure cooker. Tonight I made the most delicious meal ever. You can saute right in the pot and it takes only 5 minutes to cook.

Saute onion in butter
Cut up sausage and brown with the onion
Throw in 1/2 head of cabbage cut up
Add 1/2 can of diced tomatoes
Add cumin, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes
Add one cup of chicken broth

Set instapot to manual and cook 5 minutes. Allow to sit for a few minutes before venting.

Sounds good. That seems like a lot of liquid. Does it get reduced in the cooking?
During the cooking, the pressure cooker vents off a lot of steam, so yes it cooks down. You can use less liquid. I'm telling you, it was delicious, and I've never been a big cabbage fan.

I tried to insert a picture, but it asked for a URL.
Thanks, mbuster. I tried all that and it kept giving me a box for a url address. I'll keep working on it.

The instapot is truly wonderful. So many things you can do with it. It makes incredible soup. My favorite is broccoli and cheese. Also, it makes a great tomato bisque soup. You can cook frozen chicken in it.
Ok. Here's the picture of the cabbage and sausage dish with my instapot. :)

I'm telling you, I've never tasted anything so delicious and EASY. You can get an instapot at Target. :)
