Does anyone have some insight into the question of how long insulin will last in high heat, say a sealed car in the summer? How long will it retain 80-90% potency. If insulin is kept in such a fashion for a single day is there any significant damage? What if insulin was unintentionally left in a car for a day, or a week? Thanks.

In short, Not long at all especially in a car!!!
Insulin is a living hormone and it should be in a cold environment and kept in the dark!!!

I see that in the United States that there are couriers that transport insulin as they don't care what's in the parcel and their vans are not even air conditioned!!!

If you see that your insulin is hot then I will not use it as it's useless. You can keep them in the fridge door and don't freeze it as this is an excellent place to keep your bulk and the one that you use should be OK in the hand bag or a place away from the sun and in a dark tomb.
