Is it permissible to give away supplies?

Got a ton of omnipod classic pods and test strips. Our daughter’s pdm died this morning and we already had omnipod dash system so we switched which left us with a load of new pods and freestyle test strips.

The test strips, for sure, may be given away. There are some jurisdictions where the pods (which contain insulin for those who don't know) are considered pharmaceuticals and access is restricted. However, in my opinion they're really only useful to someone else to use as pods. I wouldn't sell them; thst invites a whole bunch of legal (and moral) implications. But if you quietly give them away you should be fine. And thank you for thinking of doing that!
The pods are new in the box and empty. 200 units of insulin go in them. I’ll count in the morning and see what I’ve got left. We were trying to use the supplies down before we switched to the dash but didn’t get very far. Dash pdm and pods came in on 27th.
Gotcha. Another option might be donating to an organization that supplies medications to people who don't otherwise qualify for it, though they sometimes are very stringent about open boxes even of sealed units of items. Googling the phrase donate medical supplies locally might find you those.
As for this stuff, there are no open boxes. I tried to find a Freestyle Freedom meter that used these strips but all I found was the freestyle freedom lite which won’t work.
There are a couple of facebook groups that allow for giveaways (shipping only). PayItForward is one. I know there are still people who use the early pods for looping. Sucks to be forced into the upgrade because the pdm died but can't get it replaced. I'm also on the Dash

Never heard of pay it forward but every fb diabetes page I’ve been to forbids it.
